The story

Brief to handover.

The idea

On a narrow plot, the staircase is the one place where light can fall through the whole house. So the stair became the centrepiece: a skylight above it, and every tread lit from the side.

Building it

We took the house from bare concrete shell to finished interiors. The site photographs show the stages — the shell in early 2023, joinery going in by spring, and the finished rooms by the end of the year.

Inside

Living, dining and kitchen share the first floor, with a puja room and a powder room off the hall. Bedrooms each have their own feature wall, and the bathroom sits under its own skylight.
